Sparkler Filter Cloth/ Pads & Paper
Sparkler filters, also known as sparkler filter presses or horizontal plate filters, are used in various industries for the filtration of liquids to remove solid particles and impurities. They employ filter media, which can be in the form of filter cloth or filter paper, to accomplish this. Below, I’ll explain sparkler filter cloth, pads, and paper:
Technical Specifications
Sparkler Filter Cloth –
Construction: Sparkler filter cloth is a specially designed filtration media made from materials like nylon, polyester, or polypropylene. These materials are chosen for their durability, chemical resistance, and ability to capture and retain solid particles.
Usage: The filter cloth is mounted on the horizontal plates or discs within the sparkler filter press. As the liquid is pumped through the filter press, the filter cloth captures solid particles, leaving behind clear filtrate.
Applications:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Chemicals
- Food and beverage
- Cosmetics
Sparkler Filter Pads –
Construction: Sparkler filter pads are essentially pre-cut filter media in the form of circular or rectangular pads. Like filter cloth, they are made from materials such as cellulose, paper, or synthetic fibers.
Usage: These filter pads are placed between the horizontal plates or discs in the sparkler filter press. When the liquid passes through the filter press, the filter pads capture particles, resulting in clarified filtrate.
Applications: Sparkler filter pads are commonly used in the beverage industry for filtering wine, beer, and other beverages. They are also utilized in pharmaceutical and chemical processing.
Sparkler Filter Paper –
Construction: Sparkler filter paper is a type of filter media that is thin, porous, and made from materials like cellulose or synthetic fibers. It often comes in roll form or pre-cut sheets.
Usage: Filter paper is inserted between the plates or discs of the sparkler filter press. It functions similarly to filter cloth and filter pads, capturing solid particles as liquid flows through.
Applications: Sparkler filter paper is commonly used in laboratory and small-scale filtration applications. It is suitable for processes where relatively fine filtration is required.
Maintenance –
Regular maintenance is essential for sparkler filter cloth, pads, and paper. Depending on the nature of the filtered material, filter media may need to be replaced or cleaned periodically to maintain filtration efficiency.
Selection Criteria –
The choice between filter cloth, pads, or paper depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including the type and size of particles to be removed, filtration efficiency, and the compatibility of the filter media with the filtered material.
Note –
 Not all Usha Filters products are washable, as due to washing filter media fibers get weak and damaged which may later effect filter poor performance. Please consult manufacturer for same.We provide detailed cleaning manual.
 Filters can be made various tailor made size and type as per customer requirements with respect to thier application, fitment, Usage, desired flow, particulate matter concentration load and filtration class required.
